The Hartford Fair kicked off Sunday and drew fans from across Licking County on Monday as youth showed their rabbits, hogs, horses and calves. And as evening drew near, the lines formed for everything deep-fried — from onions to Oreos — as well as hot Italian sausage sandwiches, Stromboli and sweet treats from the ice-cream and lemon shake-up stands.
Antique tractors are on display all week. 
If only this little guy could speak, the stories of farming we could hear. 
Feeder calves were on display as youth from area farms and 4-H groups showed their animals. 
Food carts and vendors selling t-shirts and other wares line the midway. 
Among the food attractions is the blooming onion. 
As the sun dipped to the west, the cars on the Ferris wheel cast shadows on the midway.
And after dinner, fans were filling the stands to watch the demolition derby, which is always a highlight of the fair billed as “The Biggest Little Fair in the World” and held just outside the village of Hartford in northwestern Licking County.
