Celebration of the Growing Season at the Granville Farmers Market

On Saturday May, 17th at 8:15am the Granville Farmers Market will continue the tradition of providing a short, interfaith blessing immediately preceding the opening of the Market.  Farmers and members of the community will come together for a short, informal ceremony to recognize and bless the market and those who make up the market as a place of community intersection and its important role in our community. This event also serves as a moment for the community to reflect on their important role in supporting the market throughout the season.

Please join us and feel free to bring along a symbol of the season if you like – earth, seeds, gloves, tools, your shopping bag, etc.  – and we’ll impart a blessing on these tools of the trade as well as well as those who raise our food.
