Granville High School Theatre Department presents Disney’s Descendants: The Musical

The Granville High School Theatre Department’s production of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is coming to the stage this May. This production is based off of the Disney Channel original Descendants movies and is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). The musical follows the stories of four teenagers who happen to be children of the worst Disney villains in all the land: Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil. The story takes you on a journey from the Isle of the Lost to Auradon, where the soon-to-be king, Ben, is attempting to connect the divided lands, much to the anger of the Aurodonians. Will they be accepted in this new land, or will they return to their parents’ evil ways? Will the charming Prince Ben be able to reunite the two worlds together?

Granville High School’s production of “Disney’s Descendants: The Musical” is directed by Sara Wiper Rodocker, Stefanie Stanton and Kristen Snyder with technical direction from Tim Stanton and assistant technical director Jack Miller. Bruce Piper is the orchestra pit director. Sarah Soliman is the production stage manager with assistant stage managers Olivia Katona and Chyler Katona. The student director is Lani Casto. Dance Captain is Sophia Shinka.  Mal is played by Chloe Thatcher, Evie is played by Miho Gillispe, Max Holtsberry as Jay, Andrew Busack as Carlos, Owen Costa as Ben, and the Fairy Godmother is played by Sophia Shinka.
