Intro to Sewing: Getting to know your machine at Granville Center for the Arts

May 18 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Get set for a thread-filled thrill at the Granville Center for the Arts with our “Intro to Sewing: Getting to Know Your Machine” workshop! Under the expert guidance of Kathryn Gorney from Quilting Bees Studio, this dynamic workshop is tailored to help you harness the full potential of your home sewing machine. Are you curious about all those mysterious buttons? Kathryn will unveil the secrets of your machine, teaching you everything from threading the needle to mastering various stitches, navigating sharp corners, and even completing your inaugural sewing project!
Just bring your sewing machine, its manual (if you’ve got it), thread, and your enthusiasm—everything else you need, including project supplies, will be ready and waiting. Dive into hands-on learning and transform theoretical knowledge into practical skills.
This event is FREE, but registration is required due to limited space. Please register on Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.com/…/intro-to-sewing-getting-to…
Don’t have a sewing machine? No problem! Just reach out to our Creative Director, Ryan McGuire, at ryan@granvillearts.org, and we’ll see if we can find you one to borrow for the day.
