The Village of Utica is a small community in central Ohio nestled in a lush valley along the bank of the North Fork of the Licking River. Utica is located at the crossing of State Route 13 and U.S. Route 62, and is 12 miles north of Newark, 12 miles south of Mt. Vernon, and 35 miles east of Columbus, the state capitol. The village covers approximately 1.71 square miles, with a population of 2,294 residents (Census).
The village is represented by six elected council members, and meets on the second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
