Do you value local news coverage? What is news to you, and how do you currently get news about your community? What are you not getting enough of? How can journalists and news organizations here serve you best?

We’d like to hear your thoughts about those questions and others during a free public forum at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, at the NEWORK Space at 14 N. Park Place, on Courthouse Square in downtown Newark.

The event is sponsored by The Reporting Project at Denison University, in partnership with local media, including The Advocate, Granville Sentinel, Pataskala Standard, and WNKO radio.

The conversation will be led by Denison’s Red Frame Lab, which facilitates entrepreneurship and “design thinking,” which helps organizations meet the needs of their customers or audiences in part by asking them what they want and how they want it. We want to hear from you about what you want in local news coverage and how you want to receive it.

Please bring your ideas and join us for light refreshments and conversation on Oct. 10. Residents of Licking County are welcome. Please use this link to let us know that you plan to attend: bit.ly/news-forum-licking-county-22 Questions? Contact Alan Miller at millerad@denison.edu.
