It seemed like all of Licking County laid out blankets and set up lawn chairs on the warm morning of July Fourth. Families had tents with red, white and blue-themed snacks while children grabbed plastic bags and hats to prepare for the onslaught of candy that would fly from the hands of stars of this morning’s patriotic show: Granville’s Mile Long Parade at 10:45 on Friday, July 4.Â
The parade is just one part of Granville Kiwanis’ Grand Fourth of July Celebration. The Granville Fourth began on Wednesday, July 2 with the opening of rides, fairs and games with a firework display in WildWood Park at 10 p.m.Â
