I woke up from a nap to the sound of a guitar strumming. Initially annoyed, I exited the dark confines of my room and stepped out into our common room.
Three friends were huddled around a phone reading chords and lyrics to a song we all loved. They struggled through the chords, but with every missed note came a fit of laughter. It was hard not to laugh along.
I smiled, sat down with them, and added my own harmony line. It sounded horrible in my groggy, newly awoken tone. We all laughed. We spent the night messing up, learning new and old songs, and many, many error-induced fits of laughter.
